Slowly getting this Etsy thing going…

So many tips. So many ideas. But I already have a full-time job. This is just for fun and support my hobby. My husband would probably call it a habit, mess, time-consumer, etc. But so is his fishing and hunting. It all evens out, right?

A few new items have been added. I wear some of the items out and about to help "raise awareness" and it's so nice when I get compliments on them. Especially when I travel, so it's from perfect strangers.

This week was sweet, when a friend at work purchased one of the Antique Key necklaces.

Again, it's a slow process. It's nice reading that it has taken others at least 3 months to sell something. That's ok.
It's fun.
It's out there.
It's new.
It's an adventure.

Silver wire wrapped. Perfect in size to add to a neckline. On a magnetic clasp wire necklace. Only $18.

So cute and fun. Cuff natural fiber bracelet. Gold wire wrapped with red tones in the scallop shell. 2" at widest point. $20

So dainty and match perfectly with the cuff bracelet above. $10

Another small piece. Rose wire wrapped scallop shell. Shell has blue and rose tones on an 18" rose ball chain. $12.

….now what….

Guess I upload new items!

Off the jewelry route, today I post just a few of my cut glass wine bottles and burlap utensil holders. I have a ton more I need to cut, just need to find the time.

Paint dripped inside cut wine bottle candelabra. Wrapped in eyelet burlap. Candles not included.

Lace wrapped burlap utensil holders.

Set of 4 available

or set of 6.

These items combined would make a great shabby chic table setting.

Now Open! Made in the Glade on Etsy!

Yeah it's been 4 years since my last post. And of course I have gone in a completely different direction… Oh boy. I did it. Just like 5 million other people. I did it. I opened an Etsy shop, because I somehow seem to think, somebody else might like something I made. And then do the unexpected. Buy it. Crazy I know. But it's a hobby. I make things. Just like the other 5 million other people.

It brings me joy.
 It releases stress.
 I escape in it.
 I feel accomplished.
I made something with my hands.

Then it's complete and it sits there. Sometimes I gift them, but I think, oh God I hope they like it. But I tend to have more than I gift. So now, I'm selling to support my hobby. Because I love to find new things to make and do. Challenge myself. I'm starting with some jewelry I made. I see things, and instead of buying it, I think "I can do that" and go do it. Coming soon will be some wine bottle that I cut into different creations.

 Here are a few examples:
Broken shells I found in Orange Beach. The colors were great.
I love antique stores. Found these antique keys in Kentucky.

Each piece is handmade and unique.

Now, I am not a great photographer. I will get better. (Maybe) But I planned this on a whim and just quickly did it. Hope you like it, if not, oh well, just a few minutes of your life was wasted. If you do, click on the Etsy badge and feel free to browse. I would appreciate it.

What hobbies do you have? Who else out there has braved this? Any tips?
